As one wrote in to tell us: “I love cooking and that’s why I love COOK... good food cooked as I would.” Since 1997, we’ve been taking some of the strain in the kitchen to give people more time for what really matters ... So, whenever you don’t have the time or inclination, we COOK so you don’t have to.
OK, so this isn’t an official accolade, but the COOK Kitchen in Sittingbourne, Kent is like no other. It takes 300 people, working day and night, with immense care and pride, to create our meals.
Kentish Mayde is a family run company that was formed in 2001 to supply quality pastry products to the retail and wholesale market. Over the last fourteen years, we have created a wide range of Sweet & Savoury Pastry products including five different sizes of savoury pies, Pasties and Slices, high-quality Sausage Rolls, speciality Pork Pies, steamed Suet Puddings and a wide selection of Fruit Pies.
To maintain our quality products we take a very hands-on approach, all our meat is butchered by our own skilled team of butchers ensuring we use only the best quality meats in our products. Our sweet & savoury fillings are produced in our kitchens in Biddenden, Kent. To go with our freshly butchered meat we add only the finest ingredients to produce the best fillings. All Pastry is produced ‘in house’ and we produce seven different types of pastry, from our special Suet Pastry to our rich Shortcrust Pastry.

We believe that simple natural food tastes best. Our ice cream is lovingly handmade in small batches in the heart of Kent using only simple, natural and fresh local ingredients. We do not use artificial colours, additives or preservatives and we only use the finest ingredients and seasonal fruit. Owner Sally Newall, mother of four children, qualified cook and successful wedding and party caterer along with her team produce our range of decadent, luxury ice creams in Bonnington, Ashford using British dairy products, Kentish seasonal fruits and ingredients from top suppliers sourced locally where possible. The result is an award-winning truly unbelievable taste!
